A portrait of businessman and arts philanthropist Pat Corrigan has been selected for the 2016 Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

The Archibald Prize was first awarded in 1921 and is one of Australia’s most prestigious art awards. Awarded to the best portrait painting, the Archibald Prize is a who’s who of Australian culture.

The Archibald Prize is judged each year by the trustees of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
