Archibald Prize

‘Pat’ has been selected as a finalist for the 2016 Archibald Prize.

Pat Corrigan AM is a prominent Australian businessman, avid art collector and philanthropist and has been a long supporter of Jones’s career. In 1997 Jones graduated from the National Art School in Sydney and was awarded the ‘Inaugural Pat Corrigan Travelling Scholarship for Painting’ for his 3rd Year Painting Major student portfolio.

The Archibald Prize was first awarded in 1921. It is one of Australia’s most prestigious art awards for portraiture and is held annually at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

The Archibald Prize is judged by the trustees of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
