‘Painting 160 (Dunningham Reserve)’ wins the 2017 Paddington Art Prizes – UNSW Art & Design Award. The UNSW Art & Design Award gives Jones the unique opportunity to work with Master Printer Michael Kempson at Cicada Press (UNSW Art & Design) to create a limited edition.

Cicada Press

Australian artist Alan Jones works with Cicada Press, Sydney.

In 2018 Jones produced his 3-plate etching, ‘The Fire Station #1’ with Master Printer Michael Kempson at Cicada Press. Jones produced this piece as the result of winning the 2017 UNSW Art & Design Award (in association with the Paddington Art Prize).

During 2018-19 Jones continued producing works at Cicada Press alongside other artists including Euan Macleod, Elizabeth Cummings and Chris O’Doherty (aka Reg Mombassa).

In November 2019 Jones held his first solo exhibition of prints at Olsen Annex in Sydney. This inaugural exhibition of prints consisted of eight etchings and four lithographs.
